Lothair was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Bertrand Duchaufour. Top notes
are juniper, cardamom, bergamot, grapefruit, fig leaf and red berries; middle notes are fig tree,
lavender, magnolia, geranium and black tea; base notes are vanilla, musk, cedar, ambergris,
oakmoss and woody notes.

STORY
From a fresh opening like a Captain’s tipple of juniper/gin-grapefruit tonic, it settles into a
fig and black-tea signature. From High Seas to High Tea, the surprise lies in the reassuring comfort
that comes next, as the milky-fig-tea accord takes hold. Progressively smooth; now magnolia, now
lavender, but ultimately, the daring, dark and debonair woods (cedarwood, wenge) leave a trail as
striking and vigorous as the wake of the East India Clippers, fast, cargo-bearing ships bringing
teas, for the Earl of Grey, back from Darjeeling and Assam.
