STORY
The flacon is clear with a black top that is capped with a red vase that pays tribute to
Tristan and Isolde, a 1953 work of art from surreal artist Salvador Dali. The box is black, with Dali’s
signature in gold. Perfumer Alberto Morillas of Firmenich signed the fragrance for this brand, which
is named after the artist, who launched his first fragrance in 1983 in honor of his wife and muse
Gala, an aficionado of perfumes. Dali, known for his eccentricities and avant-garde art, worked in
many disciplines and had collaborated with fashion designers Christian Dior and Coco Chanel.
French perfume company Cofinluxe holds the fragrance license for the brand.
